Sustainability within the framework of ecology for a company means a business that takes into account the environmental impacts of its activities and tries to minimize them in a long-term sustainable manner, without jeopardizing the needs of future generations. This is a comprehensive approach that is reflected in various areas of the company's functioning.
As part of its activities, VIPO a.s. tries to constantly reduce undesirable impacts on the environment throughout the entire life cycle of research and development work, the production process, but also the company's products themselves.
Based on this decision, which is in accordance with the requirements of the STN EN ISO 14001:2016 standard, as well as ESG principles, the company's management has committed to:
- consistently protect the
- design our penvironment in every activity,roducts so that their adverse impact on the environment is minimized throughout their entire life cycle, and they have the lowest possible consumption of energy and input raw materials,
- consistently apply the principle of continuous improvement of the environmental management system as part of an integrated system, including through the reduction of pollution sources, pollution prevention, waste minimization and cleaner production in production activities and services,
- professionally educate and motivate employees with the aim of increasing their environmental awareness and responsibility,
- extend the principles of environmental responsibility to our customers, suppliers and the rest of the public when cooperating with our company; at the same time, lead to an understanding of the adopted goals and results of the implementation of environmental programs, through constructive dialogue not only with company employees, but also with other citizens and interest groups,
- ensure the compatibility of environmental activities with the legislation of the Slovak Republic and the European Union and thus comply with the provisions of all mandatory requirements,
- reduce the amount of landfilled waste by effective sorting and subsequent processing in a recycling facility,
- ensure at least 50% of electricity supply from renewable sources,
- protect the environment by reducing the amount of emissions released into the air,
- gradually meet the goal of carbon neutrality of the Slovak Republic by 2050.
